Terms of Service

Last updated May 2, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service form a binding agreement between you and Scroll Wallet Research Desk, operating the Scroll Wallet website, resources, wallet access flows, support pages, and related services. By accessing the site, connecting a wallet, reading resources, submitting a request, or otherwise using the services, you confirm that you have read and understood these terms.

If you do not agree with these terms, you must stop using the services. Additional terms may apply to specific products, beta features, paid plans, or third-party tools. Those additional terms are incorporated by reference when they are presented to you.

Scroll Wallet Research Desk uses the correspondence address 548 Market Street, Suite 88474, San Francisco, CA 94104, United States. This is a mailing address and not a walk-in support office.

2. Eligibility and Account Responsibility

The services are intended for users who are at least 18 years old or the age of majority in their jurisdiction. If you use the services on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide, for any account credentials you create, and for all activity that occurs through your browser, device, wallet, or account. You agree to notify us promptly if you believe your account, wallet connection, or support thread has been compromised.

3. Non-Custodial Wallet Model

Scroll Wallet is designed around self-custody. We do not take possession of your digital assets, hold your private keys, control your recovery phrase, or guarantee access to any blockchain account. Your wallet provider, device, browser extension, hardware wallet, or account abstraction setup controls the signing process.

You remain responsible for protecting recovery phrases, private keys, passwords, hardware wallet PINs, two-factor codes, and backup materials. Scroll Wallet support will never ask you to send a recovery phrase, private key, or wallet password.

  • Lost recovery phrases may result in permanent loss of access.
  • Compromised wallet secrets may result in permanent loss of assets.
  • We cannot reverse confirmed blockchain transactions.
  • We cannot guarantee recovery of assets sent to the wrong address or network.

4. Wallet Connections and Signatures

When you connect a wallet, the services may read public wallet information such as address, chain, token balances, wallet provider, and connection status. You decide whether to approve or reject each wallet prompt through your wallet software.

Before signing any transaction, message, approval, or session request, you should review the active network, recipient, spender, permission scope, token amount, and any contract interaction displayed by your wallet. A connection or signature request may come from a third-party dApp, bridge, token contract, or service outside our control.

6. Paid Features, Billing, and Taxes

Certain features may be offered for a fee, subscription, or commercial plan. If a paid feature is offered, you agree to provide accurate billing information and authorize the applicable payment provider to charge the stated amount, including recurring charges where disclosed.

Prices, included features, trial periods, and billing cycles may change. Taxes may be added where required. Third-party payment processors may apply their own terms, fees, verification requirements, and privacy practices.

7. Cancellation and Refunds

If a subscription or paid plan is available, cancellation instructions will be provided through the applicable account, checkout, or support channel. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless a different rule is stated for the specific plan.

Refunds are not guaranteed unless required by law or stated in the plan terms. For billing questions, contact legal@scroll.network or contact@scroll.network with the email address used for the purchase.

8. Software, Beta Features, and Updates

The services may include software, scripts, APIs, wallet connection components, documentation, experimental flows, or beta features. We may update, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time.

Beta features may be incomplete, unstable, or subject to change. You should not use beta features for high-value transactions or critical workflows unless you understand and accept the risk.

9. Intellectual Property Rights

The services, including site design, text, graphics, layouts, software, trademarks, logos, data organization, and other materials, are owned by Scroll Wallet or licensed to us unless otherwise stated. You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to access and use the services for lawful personal or internal business purposes.

You may not copy, modify, scrape, resell, mirror, frame, publish, distribute, or commercially exploit the services or content without written permission, except where allowed by law or clearly permitted on the page.

10. User Representations

By using the services, you represent that the information you provide is accurate, that you have legal capacity to accept these terms, that your use complies with applicable laws, and that you will not use automated or deceptive methods to access restricted parts of the services.

You also represent that you will not use the services to violate sanctions, anti-money laundering rules, consumer protection laws, securities laws, intellectual property rights, or privacy rights that apply to you.

11. Prohibited Activities

You may use the services only for lawful purposes and in the way they are made available. You agree not to misuse wallet access flows, support channels, resources, or technical infrastructure.

  • Do not attempt to steal wallet secrets, passwords, session tokens, or private information.
  • Do not upload malware, drainers, phishing pages, exploit code, or deceptive signing flows.
  • Do not impersonate Scroll Wallet, our team, another user, a wallet provider, or a protocol.
  • Do not scrape, crawl, overload, reverse engineer, or bypass access controls without permission.
  • Do not use the services for fraud, market manipulation, sanctions evasion, harassment, or illegal activity.
  • Do not submit false abuse reports, false security reports, or misleading support requests.

12. User Content and Feedback

If you submit messages, reports, comments, ideas, corrections, suggestions, screenshots, or other materials, you grant us permission to use them to operate, improve, secure, and document the services. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights needed to submit the materials.

Do not send seed phrases, private keys, exchange passwords, hardware wallet PINs, government IDs, or other sensitive data unless we specifically ask for a limited item through a secure process. We may remove or ignore submissions that are unlawful, unsafe, abusive, or irrelevant.

13. Reviews, Community Posts, and Public Contributions

If the services allow public reviews, comments, ratings, or community posts, you agree that your contributions must be based on genuine experience, must not be misleading, and must not violate the rights or safety of others.

We may moderate, reject, remove, or reclassify public contributions at our discretion. Public contributions do not necessarily reflect the views of Scroll Wallet and should not be treated as financial, legal, tax, or security advice.

14. Third-Party Websites and Content

The services may link to wallets, exchanges, bridges, block explorers, analytics tools, payment processors, dApps, protocol documentation, community forums, and other third-party websites or content. These third parties are not controlled by Scroll Wallet.

A link does not mean that we endorse, guarantee, or accept responsibility for a third party. You should review third-party terms, privacy policies, fees, supported jurisdictions, contract permissions, and security practices before using them.

15. Blockchain Networks, dApps, and Tokens

Blockchain networks, tokens, bridges, smart contracts, and dApps can fail, be exploited, lose liquidity, change rules, or become unavailable. Network fees, confirmation times, chain support, token values, and contract behavior can change without notice.

You are responsible for verifying addresses, networks, contracts, approvals, token standards, bridge routes, and transaction details before signing. Scroll Wallet is not responsible for losses caused by network congestion, wrong-chain transfers, malicious contracts, private key compromise, or third-party service failures.

16. Security, Recovery, and Support Limits

We may provide security guidance, wallet education, and support routing, but we cannot guarantee that any wallet, device, app, dApp, or protocol is secure. Security depends on your device, wallet provider, browser, operating system, backup habits, and signing behavior.

Support cannot restore a wallet without the necessary recovery material, cannot unlock a third-party account, cannot reverse a confirmed transaction, and cannot guarantee asset recovery after a compromise.

17. Privacy Policy

Your use of the services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The services may be hosted, processed, and supported from the United States and other locations where our vendors operate.

By using the services from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your location.

18. Site Management

We may monitor the services for security, abuse prevention, performance, legal compliance, and enforcement of these terms. We may restrict, suspend, or disable access to any part of the services where we believe activity creates risk, violates these terms, or may harm users or systems.

We are not required to monitor every interaction, review every third-party link, or preserve every user submission.

19. Term and Termination

These terms remain in effect while you use the services. We may deny, suspend, or terminate access at any time where permitted by law, including for suspected misuse, security risk, fraud, illegal activity, or breach of these terms.

Termination does not affect rights and obligations that by their nature should survive, including intellectual property rights, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, dispute resolution, and payment obligations already incurred.

20. Modifications and Interruptions

We may change, modify, remove, suspend, or discontinue any part of the services at any time. We may also update these terms by changing the last updated date and posting the revised version.

The services may be unavailable because of maintenance, outages, vendor problems, network issues, attacks, or events outside our control. We are not liable for loss or inconvenience caused by interruptions or changes.

22. U.S. Government Rights

If the services or related software are acquired by or on behalf of the U.S. government, they are provided as commercial items with only those rights granted to other users under these terms, unless a written agreement states otherwise.

23. Governing Law

These terms and your use of the services are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict of law rules, except where consumer protection law requires a different governing law.

24. Dispute Resolution

Before starting a formal dispute, you and Scroll Wallet agree to try to resolve the issue informally for at least 30 days after written notice. Send notices to legal@scroll.network and include a description of the dispute and requested resolution.

If the dispute is not resolved informally, disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration where permitted by law. You understand that arbitration may limit the right to sue in court and the right to a jury trial. The arbitration will be conducted on an individual basis and not as a class action or representative action unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Claims seeking to protect intellectual property rights, stop unauthorized access, address theft or abuse, or obtain injunctive relief may be brought in court where permitted by law.

25. Disclaimers

The services are provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scroll Wallet disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and security.

We do not warrant that the services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, current, or compatible with every wallet, network, browser, device, or third-party service. We do not guarantee the value, safety, legality, liquidity, or availability of any token, wallet, dApp, bridge, exchange, or blockchain network.

26. Limitations of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scroll Wallet and its personnel, contractors, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost assets, lost data, loss of goodwill, business interruption, or wallet compromise.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for any claim will be limited to the greater of 100 U.S. dollars or the amount you paid to Scroll Wallet for the services in the six months before the event giving rise to the claim, unless applicable law requires a different amount.

27. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Scroll Wallet harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your use of the services, your violation of these terms, your user content, your wallet activity, or your violation of third-party rights or applicable law.

We may control the defense of any matter subject to indemnification, and you agree to cooperate with that defense.

28. User Data

We may maintain certain data you transmit to the services for operation, security, diagnostics, support, legal compliance, and performance. You are responsible for your own wallet records, tax records, backups, transaction exports, and copies of materials you submit.

We are not responsible for loss or corruption of data caused by third-party wallets, browsers, networks, devices, vendors, blockchains, or events outside our reasonable control.

29. Electronic Communications, Transactions, and Signatures

Visiting the site, connecting a wallet, submitting forms, sending emails, and signing wallet messages may involve electronic communications. You consent to receive notices, disclosures, records, and communications electronically where permitted by law.

Wallet signatures are separate from legal signatures unless a flow clearly states that a signature has legal effect. You should not sign messages or transactions you do not understand.

30. California Users and Residents

California residents may have additional rights under California law. If you have an unresolved complaint, you may contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, California 95834, or by phone at (800) 952-5210 or (916) 445-1254.

31. Miscellaneous

These terms, together with policies incorporated by reference, are the entire agreement between you and Scroll Wallet regarding the services. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. We may assign our rights and obligations where permitted by law. No joint venture, partnership, employment, agency, fiduciary, or custodial relationship is created by these terms or by your use of the services.
